I have some very sad news. Jane Goldsmith passed away this weekend. She has been battling with cancer for the last few years and despite managing to be in remission for a little while, the cancer came back in force and had spread to various different parts of her body. She fought it for as long as she could, and would never let it get her down, but she could fight no more.
As you know from my previous blogs I thought she was an amazing lady, so talented with her judging and training, and yet still had the time and enthusiasm for the grass route levels. She gave her life to Para Dressage and I honestly don’t know how we are going to manage without her. As with so many other riders, she believed in me right from the beginning and gave me the confidence and guidance to succeed.
My thoughts are with her family and friends at this difficult time. I know there are hundreds of other people all around the world that will also miss her positive, jovial personality.
