I have got out of the habit of blogging this year as I haven’t had much to say except bad news, but I am determined that next year will be our year… There has been so much going on outside of the horses, with various family members being unwell, that the horses have had to take a bit of a back step in our lives, but everything and everybody seems to be calming down and getting better that I am just looking forward to a nice quiet Christmas with my family and friends.

We have managed to squeeze in another para qualifier as I wanted to qualify for the Winter Championships and Jass was brilliant again. We did a mistake free test and I felt a little happier with my glasses on this time and we won with a score of 72.8%. This means we are now qualified and have a little time to train before the next competition in February. The training is going really well with Zoe and it’s now time to perfect and perfect every move over and over again to gain every mark possible as let’s face it, the difference between winning and losing can be as little as 0.01%.

Ed has also made his competition debut with Zoe. She rides him so well and has gelled with him very quickly that we have decided that the best thing for him at the moment is for her to introduce him to the World. He is not spooky at all, but he has absolutely no idea that the white boards are the edge, so combined with my disability it’s a bit of a recipe for disaster!! I don’t think it will take him long to learn his job as he is so intelligent, but until he gets a bit more confident his reins are in Zoe’s hands. He had to compete HC as Zoe is out of Novice gradings, but he would have won by a mile on 73.7% What a Good boy 🙂

It just leaves me to say have a Very Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year and watch this space for 2014…
