First off, I would like to thank Spillers for giving Ollie and myself some new clothes.
Ollie is back in full work now and is feeling better than ever. His back seems to be better and he always comes back fresher after a break.
I had my last squad training for this year with Tanya Larrigan at the beginning of this month and Ollie was definitely back on form. We had our final review at the end of the session and I was thrilled to be promoted from silver status to gold, this means I am automatically put forward onto the squad next year.
I had a Hickstead qualifier last weekend and Ollie felt fab. As his confidence is growing, so is his spark and presence. We achieved 70 and 73%, so we are already nearly qualified as it is done on a points system.
I have some exciting news that has been muttered about for a while, but it has now been confirmed. We have been selected to go to France for my first international abroad in April! I am chuffed to bits to be considered, as I have only been competing at Grade III for a short time, but hopefully all the hard work with the glasses is paying off. We leave in 3 weeks and there is a lot to organise, but I can’t wait.
I have 1 more qualifier next weekend before we go. I have not really had any time to do any able bodied competitions this year, but I hope to change this in the summer as there should be a little more time.
