We are very very pleased to welcome our new horse, Greg, into our yard. My mum has very kindly lent us some money to purchase a new horse. We have been looking for something to ride ever since Jass went home, but finding a horse with the right temperament and movement has proven to be incredibly difficult, so we felt our only way forward would be to buy another one. This is all very well, but then it dawned on us that we actually needed way more money than we had, but we were determined that there must be a new companion out there for us somewhere, it was just going to take some searching trying to find it in budget!

We thought we had found him a few weeks ago when we had another horse on trial. He appeared to be such a lovely person, but sadly he failed the vetting quite badly which left us no other option than to send him back. Anyway in hindsight it was obviously all supposed to work out this way as we now have our wonderful new chap Gregorian Chant. He is even the right colour as I have never competed anything other than black horses! He has only been here a few days, but I love the feel I get when I am riding him and he seems an absolute poppet 🙂 Unfortunately as its so late on in the season I only have a few weeks left to qualify for the Nationals, so there’s no time to get to know each other, we just have to jump in at the deep end and hopefully come out swimming…
