I would like to start by saying a Big Thank you to Thermatex for officially making my wonderful Hebe part of the team! 🙂
This will be my last blog before signing off for 2015 and what a year it has been!!! I am undefeated Nationally and have won 2 out of 3 Internationals, smashing my personal best scores in everything… Can it get any better in 2016? I really hope so. I have got the best team behind me and I feel more determined than ever so bring it on!!!
I can’t thank the National Lottery and UK Sport enough for making it possible to live my dream and to Sport Godalming in believing in me. The World Class Podium Potential squad are doing everything they can to help me make my dream come true to represent Team GB at Rio next year. It’s now just down to Gregory and I, and a little bit of luck, to show everyone we can do it 🙂
Ed and I have also made our able bodied debut. We have done 4 tests so far and have won 3 out of 4 with 3 scores over 70%, including one score of 79.5%, which is my highest ever able bodied score… He has also achieved 2×9’s and 1×9.5 already! He had a little set back after the last squad training which we now realise was down to the common problem of gastric ulcers. He has now been treated for this and is back in work. He has qualified for the able bodied Regionals, but we have decided to save him for 2017 with regard to para. In the mean time we will take him out able bodied to get more ring experience and keep up with his training. He is sooooo big that he is going to take longer to get strong so will come into his own a little later than most. I don’t want to rush him as he is something very special. 🙂
That only leaves me to say have a Fantastic Christmas and a Very Happy New Year. Just remember, we are all Blessed to be here so whatever your plans for 2016 just take a moment to appreciate what you have got rather than what you haven’t. X
